Edelweiss Retreat — 2024 edition
Once again, the 2024 Edelweiss retreat was a great success. Step into the atmosphere of this summer gathering through the words of those who were there.
By Les Braves

Once again, the 2024 edition of the Edelweiss retreat was a great success. To give you a feel for this special summer week, we gathered the stories of a few members who took part.

Mathieu’s story
The fifth Braves summer retreat ended, once again, on a very positive note — and it even lasted one extra day this year. Lots of new faces, a sign of the community’s growing appeal, plenty of familiar ones, and always that same recipe of genuine camaraderie that brings Braves together from morning to night.
New activities (archery, medieval games) joined an already packed programme: business workshop, singing and the fiercely contested field games. See you in summer 2025!
A few words from Marie
So many shared moments around lively, varied activities. The Lindy Hop workshop, the field games and the barbecue evenings, all in a lovely estate: the perfect week.

Impressions, by Bouquetin
This summer I joined the Braves retreat for the first time, and I really enjoyed it. I saw old friends again and met many new ones, all pleasant, with very different talents and backgrounds. Some came with their families, and the children’s little faces brightened our days.
I won’t forget the board games and the evenings around the campfire — teasing, jokes, philosophical debates and toasted marshmallows, with the Milky Way watching over us.
Julie’s experience
For us, Edelweiss was a breath of fresh air. Living deep in the countryside, we felt rather isolated. The retreat was a lovely surprise: we felt fully accepted, and we met people who had been through similar experiences.
We left full of energy and inspiration, with new ideas in mind — an outcome we never imagined at the start of the week.
See you next year!
